Uthita Trikonasana - Extended Triangle Pose

Uthita Trikonasan is one of the foundational poses in the standing pose series. It teaches us the basic placement of the feet, and how to straighten the legs properly so that the knees are supported and we the hips and thighs devolope strength and flexibility. BKS Iyengar explains in Light On Yoga: "It relieves back pains and neck strains and develops the chest".
