Parsvottanasana

Parsvottanasa is a standing forward bend. Regular practice of this pose increases the flexibility of the the hamstrings and hips, improves balance and is therapeutic for the back. Using the chair is a great way for beginners to learn the basic actions of the pose, and it is helpful for those who may have tighter hamstring muscles. As a forward bend, it can calm anxiety and sooth headaches.
